Thursdays @ 1pm
Meeting weekly, both on campus and via Zoom, this class is open to everyone. The scripture and a reflection for the following Sunday’s service is emailed ahead of time, then read and discussed in class. This is not your run-of-the-mill Bible study, but a true exploration of scripture! Some choose to attend weekly others come when they are available.

UWF is an active group of women that welcomes ALL women! From September to June, Carol Conklin and Kathy Myers teach a class on the first Wednesday of the month in the Disciple Room at 9:30 a.m.
On most third Wednesdays of the month, UWF has a program, often with a guest speaker and a dinner. We are a sisterhood of learning, serving others, and promoting social justice. There are no dues, no age requirement, no long-term commitment, although we hope that once you join us for a class or an activity you will want to come back!
A small group of women who seek to grow in their faith and share their joys and friendship, while reading and discussing books they have chosen. Meetings are most Wednesday afternoons at 1:00pm on Zoom. If you want to join, please contact Rene Markley or contact Krissy Baker in our church office.
Grief support group meets periodically throughout the year. The next start time will be September 12th at 10:00am and will meet every Tuesday thereafter through November 7th.
A small group of men and women who feel called to educate and inform the community on environmental issues. This group often coordinates book swaps, gardening projects and Earth Day activities.
Connect with Adults
Growing in faith was never designed to be a solitary endeavor. Adults of all ages can find encouragement, support, and nurture at Foothills.
Foothills ministry to homebound seniors and others unable to attend regular services. Volunteers are needed to make calls and visits on a monthly basis.
Committed prayer warriors meet weekly to pray in response to the congregation’s requests. Requests are received from Foothills members and constituents, as well as referrals from pastors and the pastoral care group. If you feel called to prayerfully support those who have requested prayers, you can ask to receive the weekly Prayer List by contacting the church office.
Part of an international organization, Prayers & Squares, this interfaith outreach organization combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. Volunteer quilters are needed to lend their talents to this meaningful ministry. The PQM meets the 4th Saturday of every month in the Disciple room from 9am to Noon. All skill levels are welcome!
This prayer group meets weekly at 8:00am on Tuesday mornings at Denny’s in Rancho San Diego for a time of prayer and card writing.
